I have my UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) Pilot License in Texas and am FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Certified.

As a person who has been in the technical industry for over 15 years, I have always been fascinated with the modern advancements in aerial devices. Drone technology has grown so much in the past 10 years that it is now used in search and rescue situations.
In July 2017 my elderly father went missing after his daily walk in our neighborhood. Through the efforts of the local police department, our neighborhood community and family, we were able to locate my father after 3 days in a cornfield. This event shook and amazed me. Shook for the possible lose of my father and amazed by the effort of our community. It made me wonder, what other modern technology could used to help our community in need.
High power drones allow fast, more accessible camera in an aerial view to remote or difficult to access areas that may assist in surveying and capturing images that may not be caught by helicopters, standing cameras or the human eye. It makes me wonder, could we have found him faster if I had drones available to me.
